Why a capstone year in Brazil?

Spoken by nearly 250 million people globally, Portuguese is the official language in ten countries and territories, including Brazil, Mozambique, Angola, Portugal, Guinea-Bissau, East Timor, Equatorial Guinea, Macau, Cape Verde, and São Tomé and Príncipe.

As the largest economy in Latin America and the eighth economy in the world, Brazil plays a crucial role in international trade, agriculture, sustainable energy, pharmaceutical and cultural industry, and manufacturing. Moreover, Brazil's ecosystem is of immense importance to the world. Home to the Amazon Rainforest, the planet's largest tropical rainforest, Brazil is a critical player in the fight against climate change.
