The University of Arizona Portuguese Flagship Program is housed in the College of Humanities' renowned Department of Spanish and Portuguese and is one of only two Portuguese Flagship Programs in the U.S.
The required coursework encompasses a broad spectrum of subjects, spanning language, literature, arts, environment, and culture. Students benefit from a range of resources, including tutoring, internships, and immersive study abroad opportunities. In the program's culminating year, students undertake a transformative Capstone experience in Brazil, complemented by a professional internship.
