Where

Heritage and foreign language learners have distinct instructional needs, but administrative constraints often prevent their separation. While mixed classrooms pose challenges, they also create opportunities for both groups. This workshop explores these challenges and examines strategies such as differentiated instruction (Carreira, 2012), project-based learning(Carreira, 2018), and bi-directional scaffolding (Bayona, 2023).Participants will design an activity applying these approaches to their own classrooms.
